Step-by-Step Urine Specimen Collection:

Completing the online course alone does not qualify you to perform DOT urine specimen collections.
DOT collector qualification consists of two required components:
Component 1
Procedures Training
You learn the applicable regulations, collection procedures, documentation requirements, and how to properly handle different collection situations.
Component 2
Proficiency Demonstration
You demonstrate your ability to perform collections by successfully completing the required five error-free mock collections under the observation of a qualified trainer/monitor.
You must complete Component 1 before completing Component 2.
Do not begin performing DOT-regulated urine specimen collections until you have successfully completed all required qualification components.

The online instructional module provides participants with 30 days of platform access.
Note that the webcam proficiency demonstration is treated as a distinct requirement unless you enroll in the all-inclusive bundle.
Mandatory Recertification
Per federal DOT guidelines, all specimen collectors are obligated to renew their credentials every five years by completing both the procedural training and the mock collection demonstration.
Have you made an error (fatal flaw) in the collection process that caused a DOT Urine, Oral Fluid or Alcohol Testing to be cancelled?
